Our Story 

Johnny's Pantry is a non-for-profit organization that was established in 2022 in South Florida.

Our founder, Jonathan Vidal, was then a 15-year-old teenager in high school. Learning in school about equality and liberty, Jonathan aspired to help improve the quality of life of less fortunate members of our community. 

 

Jonathan noticed the lack of a charitable organization that was founded and led by teenagers in South Florida for this purpose. Therefore, Jonathan decided to establish Johnny’s Pantry, which provides food to needy people in our loving community.

Jonathan came up with the idea of teenager-led efforts to reduce hunger within the community. He envisioned a charitable organization led by teenagers that harnesses the efforts and empathy of teenagers, high school students, college students, and young people by creating a network of volunteers who contribute their precious time and efforts to collect food from donating entities and then personally deliver free food to people in need. 

 

Johnny's Pantry consists of a network of volunteers who collect food items from donating families and business entities, and deliver those food items for free to families in need.
